The Voice UK Episode 7 Complete • February 22, 2014 & A Question To Ponder & Answer; World Tour For Tom? Does That Include N. A.?

Any theories about why Sir Tom has so many women on his team?

From The Express, Sunday, February 23, 2014:

My, my my! Sir Tom Jones marks 50 years of hits with world tour

Screen Shot 2014-02-22 at 7.19.48 PM“I am going to do a lot of shows in as many countries as possible,” said the 73-year-old judge on BBC1’s The Voice. “A lot of countries in this world have been very good to me so I want to show I can still do it. I am still having as much fun now as when I started.” Sir Tom, whose first hit was It’s Not Unusual in 1965, wants to emulate the success of the Rolling Stones with their 50 And Counting Tour.

“Like with the Rolling Stones, you know they had 50 years after they first got together,” added Tom, whose other chart hits include Delilah and Green, Green Grass Of Home. “It is 50 years this year that I had a song called Chills And Fever but it didn’t make that much noise, so people would think It’s Not Unusual was the start but it wasn’t really.

“I was singing with a band in Wales before that but you can’t go from that date. People think it’s from It’s Not Unusual, which is fine by me.”

  1. Lloyd Says:

Does anyone think there is even a remote chance this tour might include the USA?

  2. Singersavedme Says:

I think they are considering the LA Sports Arena part of the 50th Tour in the US — even though it is a quickie touchdown on the road to so many other countries. I would love to hear of a real tour in the US, but if it isn’t booked by now, it won’t happen unless they can find a House of Blues or other small venues here and there. It makes me ever so grateful I was at those two Troubadour concerts in Hollywood, which were two of the best Tom Jones concerts I have ever been to. They may be the last…

  3. Moderator Says:

I’ve been told by a couple of people that we can watch for some sort of tour and that Tom is excited to be touring with Morrissey, so to look for more of those dates. We’ll see. They’re talking about 2015. Plenty of time and, where there’s a will, there’s a way:)

  4. Vince Says:

I’m sure Vernon Hopkins will love that last quote.

  5. Katherine K Says:

Thanks Ellen for posting Episode 7. We must think positive If Tom says as many countries as possible then N A must be included. I’m getting so excited already, so Tom lets make it as Fabulous as your career as been and still is. Can’t wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Attila Boros the painter Says:

I hope Tom will show Hungary once again that he can still do it. We love him more and more.

  7. Tara Says:

What a dismissive Cocky response, how dare he speak so low of the and that he started his career with , talk about rude! That’s the thing unfortunately fame and fortune turns you into something that has no conscience . Why have such a bad attitude towards them , he didn’t even make it to Micky gee funeral and he was in the uk , he can ur but can’t hide, just infuriates me when I read this kind of muck

  8. Zandra Says:

Yeh!!!! A world tour, please don’t forget Australia.

  9. Gail Wentzloff Says:

And please – don’t forget Canada

  10. lindag Says:

Wonder if this means Tom will not be doing The Voice next year. Agree that the two Troubadour shows were some of his best. Glad I was able to see him since I’m not holding out hope for a LA show in 2015.

  11. Judy Says:

I am assuming one of the countries he is referring to is the US. On another note, I noticed in the above picture he has his wedding band on, I have noticed this on some other pictures I have seen of him, that is something new for him as for years he never did wear a band.

  12. SusannePDX Says:

Tom, don’t forget the USA has been very, very, very good to you.
Oh, and ditch that suit. yikes!

  13. Rick Says:

Hey…that suit…really? Looks like he joined the circus!!
