1 Day Late: The March TJI Question of the Month: What’s The One Question?

The interview posted below got a lot of people (including your moderator) angry because, among other factors, the questions we very rude, intrusive and too personal.

So, the March TJI Question of the Month is:

If you were given the opportunity to interview Sir Tom, what is the one — only one (it’s a short interview) — question you would ask?

Remember, questions that are intrusive, rude or too personal will be moderated.

Tom, when your singing days are over, and you may still be in good health,do you think you may return to wales to live out the rest of your days.

  2. Raphael Says:

    Tom!
I would like to know if you are going to edit all the unedited material you have sung all these years, concerts, studio, TV, rarities, duets and so on. Thank you

  3. Cristiano Says:

Mr Jones…may you give me singing lessons? I even can pay for it eh!!!

  4. Martine Says:

    Tom,
Is there anything you dislike and would like to get rid of in your personality ?
(from my own part, I love everything you are or at least, everything that you show and that we know about you ! )

  5. Dragonlady Says:

I would love to know how the song “Odd Man Out” came to be. And the answer should be at least 5 minutes long LOL! ;)

  6. Oqi Says:

    Something about his talent,

Tom, do you have perfect pitch, and i dont mean the so called active perfect pitch (active perfect pitch: able to sing any given pitch that is, if they are asked to sing a B flat without hearing the said note or any reference note.. Cos i know he sometimes asks notes
    But the passive one?

Anyway it would be fun to know, ofc its not prerequisite for high musical talent or it can be curse not to enjoy music, most have good relative pitch..

(Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Mozart etc had…)

  7. adam mc ateer Says:

Well after thinking long and hard mine would be “Tom, would you stand in for Steve Tyler in Aerosmith until he returned if you were asked?”

  8. adam mc ateer Says:

Tho I’ve just checked the news, Steve has announced his return lol. Aww well…..

  9. Tammy S Says:

Given your tremendous musical talents and accomplishments what do you see as goals you want to attain in the near future?

  10. gaillovestj Says:

Tom is there any one occasion in your life you can point to as your number one highlight?

  11. Dre Says:

If you can’t sing anymore will you write an autobiography (you are allowed to leave certain things out).

  12. monica Says:

Have you ever been photographed by Annie Liebowitz, and if not, would you consider doing so if asked?

  13. Darla Says:

Your 70th birthday is coming up. Did you have a favorite age?

  14. Katherine Says:

Tom I know that you “Love to Sing” means everything to you.
Is there anything else that means as much or more to you?

  15. Darla Says:

I’d also ask, do you have any video of you singing as a child, or young teenager?

  16. Kathy S Says:

Tom, If you had it to do all over again, would you do anything differently? Any regrets?

  17. Denise L Says:

If you could change one event in your life, what would it be? You could choose to do away with an event as if it never happened or make something incredible out of something that was only so-so. (A song that didn’t make it that should have been a major number one hit or any decision that you would like to be able to “do over”.) Just choose one event to change that you think would have made a huge impact on your life and tell us why.

  18. SusannePDX Says:

I once said that my only question for Tom Jones was “What would it take…?” ;-)
Now I think I would ask him what he really thinks of his fans.

  19. Laura W Says:

Tom, when the day comes that you have to slow down and your not doing so many shows is there a way you can make time to have a meet & greet with your fans. I also like SusannePDX when she said “What would it take” we can all dream. ;)

  20. Pat Lowndes Says:

If I could ask Tom a question ,to pick only one mmm not easy. I would say “Tom in all you have done and achieved is there anything you wished you had done or even done differently”

  21. susie Says:

I would tell him, of course, that everything about him is awesome, but is there anything he still needs to conquer or accomplish, and if I could be of any assistance.

  22. Beth Says:

If your voice wasn’t your “gift” what else would you have become in an ideal world?
