Hi Ellen!

First of all, it was a pleasure meeting you at the show Saturday! I had to run off after the end (that $11 Fiji water I ordered wanted out, LOL, and I couldn't get back into the showroom) but it was so welcoming to meet so many great fellow TJ enthusiasts.

Saturday's show was awesome - and 'Rip it Up' was such a wonderfully spontaneous highlight as you mention above - loved the bit about what key it was in. The energy was terrific throughout and as usual Tom clearly gives his all.

I agree that the new band does not deserve to be judged or shunned simply for not being the old band; after all, it wasn't their decision to change things up! They are good, the show sounded professional, and Tom, most importantly, seemed comfortable and happy with them. Personally, I'd rather see the old band, and they were a big part of my repeat attendance (especially Darelle Holden, rrwowr!) but ultimately the show is Tom Jones, and this weekend proves that Tom remains in top form no matter who backs him up, and I for one look forward to seeing him again.

I agree with you Ellen I also choose to go with it,we all made friends with many of the past band but life always continues to evolve, nothing stays the same.I just hope Tom's fans will just give this band a chance and not stay so negative,if you have been a fan as long as I have you have seen many band members come and go,as you said that is show business.
