Just a side note, I was able to watch the Arthur's Day and Guiness celebration on Direct TV this past Saturday, and Sir Tom was fantatic and looked great. Norman and Pat, what a great job, thank you. Oddly enough this appearance is one of the ones Tom was doing around the time that 'A Boy From Nowhere' was released (along with those March/April '87 clips in the video library from this August. Anyone looking at this clip out of context now may not know what a surprise it was to see Tom dressed like this and singing a Prince song but comparing with those other clips gives an idea of his image elsewhere on UK tv at the time.
