Thursday, November 27th, 2008To all our friends in the US, a happy Thanksgiving. (And to those not celebrating today, we still wish you much for which to be thankful.)
We are each grateful for so many things but the one we hold in common is the gratitude for the gift of Sir Tom Jones.
Now, you may have noticed that there have been some subtle changes on our homepage. That is because Ursula is no longer a partner in this site.
She and I have worked together on this site and have enjoyed doing so. Of course, we still enjoy our friendship (started at a show at the MGM,), the opportunity to work on professional projects together and, still, seeing Tom together. But priorities and schedules change and, thus — whether we like it or not — other things must change, too.
In Ursula’s absence, I am hoping more than ever that you will help this site flourish with your visits, your comments on the site and your suggestions. If you have any of the latter please don’t hesitate to href="http://tomjonesintl.com/wp-admin/post.php#" mce_href="http://tomjonesintl.com/wp-admin/post.php#">email me.
For the record, I believe that the role of the moderator is to bring all the news to site visitors. That means, for example, the negative and the positive and, occasionally, to keep things interesting, very often, the provocative. (Toward that end, tomorrow we’ll be posting two reviews from very respected news outlets that are more negative than one would believe possible — although one gave him two stars for, I think, just showing up.) Moderating means “moderating,” really checking comments. Moderating a website means doing one’s best. Hope that is what is being done here at tji.com. My email is on the homepage to be used when you wish to. Please do.
We — and I am a journalist, so please be indulgent of the editorial “we” — have a nice raffle to benefit breast cancer research coming up and hope you’ll participate. We’ll also be unveiling a special gift program where you can get and give — at very special rates — the music that influenced Tom.
Since today is Thanksgiving, a holiday, it’s a fine time to go back over the past few weeks of posts (68 since November 1) and see all you may have missed.

I absolutely love visiting this site and diving into all the articles to get my Tom fix. I want to thank Ursula for her contributions, and then thank Ellen for carrying on with TJI.com on her own! It is a lot of work and I for one appreciate the information, videos, photos and all things TJ that I know I’ll find here first.

Glad the site is still going to be up and running. Alot of work for one hope we can all help in donating in some way or an other. I do read this site daily and don’t know who else can keep up with all the info coming in so far your on top of everything. Thanks Ellen for contuing the the site and taking on the challange. Ursula thank you for work as well.
I think I started visiting this site just as it started off in 2005 I think and it’s the site to be if your a TJ fan.

Thank you Ellen and Ursula for starting this website and working togehter for us fans and TJ. Life brings changes all the time and I wish Ursula all the best for her future projects and Ellen energy, joy and faith to keep this site going. If there is anything I can do, please let me know. I hope to see you guys at the next TJ show in Vegas together

It will be a lot of work for you, true…BUT, if any of us are able to help you out from time to time by being a “Guest Moderator” when schedule and time permit, just say the word. There’s nothing more, I think, then to have the TJI.com be kept alive for as long as there are those who love and appreciate Tom Jones and his God-given talent. Ms. Ellen, I may not be a guest to this great Tom Jones fan site as long as everyone else have been before me, but it provides many things for each of us in so many different ways, I’m sure. It’s a time capsule that transports back good memories in special ways for each of us, indiviually. Always keep up the great work, and Happy Thanksgiving to You and your family and friends.

Thanks again to Ellen & Ursula who have made this the best fan site on the web. I wish Ursula great things for her future and appreciate all she has brought to this site. Keep up the great work Ellen and I hope to be able to contribute in the future. I have ordered my CD from Amazon but have yet to recieve it. I hope it comes soon. I have heard a few songs from the CD and look forward to hearing the whole album.

what a pitty Ursula had to leave the site! I do hope you’ll be strong enough to keep on alone and what I wish you is to find another partner in 2009. Our life as Tom’s fans would be dull without TJI.com

As many have posted before me, thanks to Ursula for being a great partner in the production of such a fantastic site. No two people have put so much work and love into a site for Tom (free of charge)as Ellen and Ursula. The site is updated constantly and keeps us up-to-date on all Tom news, videos, music. I wish Ellen the best in continuing this effort on her own; we should all know this is a work of undying devotion to the singer we all know and love as Sir Tom Jones. I hope Tom’s management realizes the time and effort such a site requires…I think these girls should have been on the payroll long ago!!
