Tom & Marie (Osmond): A Post For Our Friends

Keith Cooper — founder and moderator of jonesthevoice.com — and his wife Joedy are major Tom Jones fans, but they also really like Donny & Marie who this week are opening a long engagement at the Flamingo Hotel here.
The Coopers visited us in Las Vegas to see Donny & Marie at the MGM this summer and, yesterday, sent this link to us.
So, in honor of Keith & Joedy and to congratulate them on their daughter’s recent marriage, here is Tom & Marie singing a Diana Ross medley. It’s from the Donny & Marie Show in the 1970s. And doesn’t Tom look great?

Ooooooo, thanks for a great video of Tom and Marie. I also remember she and Donnie being on Tom’s show. She was probably still a teenager at the time.

Well, that was fun to watch! Thanks to all for making it available, and yes he does look wonderful! There has been much written lately about Tom’s appearance as he gets older, and for the life of me I cannot understand why it is such an issue. I think at 68 he still looks pretty darn great. It is my opinion that when someone looks as good as Tom Jones or say Paul Newman in their prime, they should be given credits for being hot that last well into at least their 90′s.

Cute video though I do hate when the video & audio are not in sync, but still fun to watch. Of course Tom looked great & I agree with Audrey M about all the fuss over Tom’s looks. He looks damn good & still very sexy. My God the man is 68!! Who cares what he’s had done in the line of cosmetic surgery? I would think he was dumb if he didn’t try to look his best especially while he is still so full of energy and able to continue his career. I keep reading about how he should “grow old gracefully”~I think he’s doing a fine job as far as keeping himself looking nice and I’ve learned enough about him to know that he will realize when he can’t do a good show any longer or his voice starts going and he will retire will dignity. In the mean time he’s still on a schedule that would break and has broken younger men and doing it with all the dignity and coolness only Sir Tom has!!

Thanks for posting…loved the video. I agree about all these article on Tom’s sugary…we should all look so great at 68….Tom looks great and that VOICE is awesome!

I would love to see them performing again today. How wonderful it would be if we had shows like Tom’s early TV show, TITJ. I don’t know why a musical guest show wouldn’t work with Tom as host!!!

Now that was a beautiful duet! Marie was so graceful and polished, with such a beautiful voice! Holding hands, looking at each other in the eyes, dancing together….shout out to Joss Stone, Duffy and who ever else might have the honor of sharing a stage with our Knight in the future…take a lesson.
