As soon as someone knows when Tom Jones will be coming back to perform at the Westbury Music Fair (now the Captial One Theatre) please le me know. Thanks. Happy Labor Day, to all!

TJF: He was tentatively scheduled for Westbury (cannot call it by any other name, not matter what it officially is) around the time of AC but it looks as if that’s off. So, unless the plan to play the Beacon around those dates actually happens, AC is as close as he’ll get. And that is a pity, especially with new product to promote. Remember New York, New York? “If he can make it there….” Really is too bad.

TJ BEACON 2008! Now there’s a bumper sticker I’d like this election year!

At the Beacon? To me, Tom Jones is way too good for the Beacon, nice for other regular performers. He’s special, he deserves to go to Carnegie Hall. Wonder why he decided in not going to Westbury? He’s always gone there, almost every year. Well, hopefully, one day he will come back to Westbury and perform, and for me, to finally get the chance to see him again after all these years. That would be so nice.

TJF: We’re not arguing and don’t want to — will not — get into a back-and-forth on the topic. But we really believe the Beacon Theatre is fine. We wish he’d play there, or Irving Plaza or, yes, Carnegie Hall….doesn’t matter. Just to play New York.

I can’t afford another trip to AC at this time, but since I have friends and family in NY, that I could afford. Where is the Beacon Theatre, not in Beacon NY? If it is, my best friend lives there and I would be there in a flash. Or is it in the City? I’m getting withdrawal symptoms already.
