Tom Is Ill; Shows Cancelled Tonight Through Saturday; Set To Go On Sunday

Illness has forced Tom to cancel the first three shows at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. He is expected to perform Sunday through Wednesday.

We hear, though of course not officially, that he has a throat infection and is expected to recover in a few days.

If we hear anything else, we’ll let you know.

Meanwhile, we wish Sir Tom a complete and rapid recovery.

I was wondering how anyone could use their throat that much and smoke cigars and fly in airplanes without getting sick. The germs in the air in a plane could ruin anyone’s throat for a week. Speedy recovery!

I’m very sorry to hear this and send best wishes to Tom for a quick recovery.

It probably is a minor miracle Tom doesn’t have to cancel more shows. Most of the frequent flyers I know always catch some kind of germ on the different airlines, and as much as Tom travels, I am thankful he stays as well as he does. Get well soon, Tom; your fans miss you!!!
