A Brief Word From Scoop And, While Waiting For A Newspaper Review….
Sunday, April 15th, 2007…..from tonight’s show in Miami (where we really hope they’ll review Sir Tom), we came across this quote from a writer for creativeloafing.com in Tampa previewing Tom’s appearances in the area:
“TOM JONES: How dare Justin Timberlake claim to bring sexy back while this man still walks the planet.”
(We like that it’s phrased as a statement, not a question.)
We read that on April 14, the same night Tom was in the area, there was also a concert by the Flaming Lips, the group who did the Bond-like Duck Dodgers theme with Tom. Remember? No? Well, here’s Tom singing a a bit of it.
Sunday night: 11:30 EDT: A note from Inside Scoop who tells us, “Miami was the best show of the tour. Very passionate.”

Have really enjoyed all the reviews you have been posting and am looking forward to what they say after the Miami show. Hopefully I will make it to Vegas in August to see Sir Tom in person. Really appreciate all the hard work you both put in on this site. Sandy

justin who? Oh, him with the wife with the big ……er you know what .Someone tell him sexy has never been away ,wrapped up in one Welsh miner’s son — Thomas J. Woodward or, as the world knows him, TOM JONES.

For my 35th b’day my husband asked what I wanted, could have requested anything, chose to party in Vegas with friends to see Tom Jones. Turned out he wasn’t there, so we all flew from Vegas to Miami on sunday to see the sexiest man alive sing to me in the second row all nght. Love Timberlake, but I would leave my husband for Tom! And he doesn’t mind. The best concert ever and by far the best b’day. PS: I was the one in all white who flashed him at the end. He is proof age is just a number. He’s smoother than silk.

GK, You really know how to party!!! What a great hubby to fly you from Vegas to Miami to see Tom; that is quite a jaunt, and how did you manage to get such good seats at the last minute?

Thanks. We had to buy eight tickets. We only used six, but we didn’t mind — anything for Tom! My husband is great and my friends just enjoyed the ride. Now I want to see him again, but I live in NY and he doesn’t seem to be playing here anytime soon. My friends think I’m crazy. I am (crazy for Tom)! If anyone knows when he’ll be here, let me kno. I’;m on my way. He’s like chocolate — addictive! No, wait! I take it back — better!!!

Tom will ve in AC in August and he usually adds some dates in the NY region — upstate or one of the casinos in CT. To check on his itinerary, follow the link at right, “Where’s Tom & Whebn’s He There?” We’re kind of hoping he hits Westbury again this winter, too.
