Laura

>*Hello. Do you have any knowledge as to when the MGM Grand will begin selling tickets for his January 2006 appearances? I e-mailed them and they are very evasive.*

Laura, when we called they told us “any day” and to “check frequently.” Should be soon, though.

However, Tom will be at the MGM December 16 through 20 and tickets are on sale now. Call 1-800-929-1111 or 702-891-7777.

Sara

>*How does one get great tickets to his shows?*

Sara, here are hints from our experience and the experience of others.

1. If he’s at a casino and you’re a gambler, you may be able to work through a casino host for either free tickets or good seats for which you will pay.

2. Find out when tickets are going on sale and be prompt about calling.

3. If possible, be at the box office in person when the sale begins.

If none of these work to your satisfaction, just keep trying the box office for cancellations or for seats that were turned back by VIPs.

Good luck.

Martine in France

I saw Tom only seven times in 37 years of deep love for him.

We often saw and heard him from 2000 to 2002 thanks to Sex Bomb and now he’s gone away once again. Believe me, it’s real torture!

Thanks to people like you, we can have news from your sites.

So at the moment there’s only one thing I can tell, its about the amazing kindness of people from Pontypridd.

On the 28th of May, when Tom did his concert for his 65 th birthday, as I was unable to go to Wales, I called the Welsh BBC to ask if the concert would be recorded on DVD and they told me that nothing was planned but that there would be a one hour TV program 4 days later.

I said to myself, “You’ve got to find someone to record the program for you.”

So I called the Tourism office who very kindly told me that they would do their best to please me. And they did!

They called me back twice to fix a few details and a week later and, not only did they send me the video, but also two post-cards of Pontypridd and the newspaper showing the big moments of the concert.

I thanked them with a bottle of a very good vintage wine and told them that apparently Pontypridd sheltered only wonderful people.

>*I have three questions:
What is Tom’s religion?
How tall is he?
What is his real ascendant (some books say it is Virgo some others say Aquarius)?*

Martine, his biographies say he’s Protestant, his height around 5 feet-10 or 11 inches and our in-house expert on horoscopes says Tom is Gemini, Leo rising, moon in Cancer.

That makes him a good communicator (Gemini), in need of the spotlight (Leo), caring about his family, deeply in touch with his emotions, and sometimes deeply devoted to his mother.

>*Tom Jones seems to have been into “Bling” long before it was fashionable, yet it seems he has not opted for one of “fashion’s” trendy things men do, which is wear either one earring or both. Am I wrong? I don’t see any pierced ears. Do you? Has he ever been asked this question and given an answer as to why he hasn’t? I’d think da Man would look awesome with a single diamond in one ear.*

He wears plenty of bling as you know. We heard he tried an earring once and took it out. But this is how he might look today:

Our Question of the Month

What song would you like Tom to sing?

Laura/Walnut Creek, CA

>*Firstly, congratulations and thank you for a great website dedicated to Tom. His fans really are a devoted lot. My question about Tom: In early photos, his eyes look brown. In more current photos and when I have seen him in person, they are crystal blue. Does he wear color contacts?*

Laura, congratulations to you also as you have now joined the ever-growing controversy over Tom’s eye color. We variously remember it as blue, green, hazel and light brown. Today, however, we agree that his eyes are likely aqua Acuvue2 Colours.

Alex in Canada

>*My name is Alex Gradanti. I’m 24 years old and a big Tom Jones fan. I have a question to ask, I live in Ontario Canada and have a hard time finding Tom Jones CDs
like* Reload, Mr Jones *and more. Every time I go out to my local music store like HMV or CD PLUS and ask if they have them or even order them they keep telling me
that they have not been released in canada yet even though these cds have been out for some time. I also know a lot of people in the same situation who can’t find them either, unless you find them on the net. I have also tried walmart and found nothing I hope you can give me a little insite on this problem i have or even suggestion where i can buy these CDs . Anyway I hope you can help and I thank you for your time.*

No problem, Alex. If you just go to our page on *Tom’s Musical Roots* you’ll see links to all of this music (the “Tom Jones” link in the first line) and specific music of his and those who influenced him as you scroll down the page.

Let us know if you cannot find what you want and we’ll try to help locate it for you. And, please note that by Friday we’ll have a listing here for Tom Jones items for sale or trade by fans, so you can check that, too.

Chastain Park Ampitheater, Atlanta, GA

What

This is a small outdoor venue situated in a natural setting that sets the standard for summer entertainment in Atlanta. Tom performed here in July with TOP. I count this venue as the warmest of all locations I have seen Tom. With tables, the venue seats 6,700 people.

Price

Seats are divided into tables, reserved orchestra seats and a general admission area on the lawn. Table seats were $100, regular seating, $50.

Atmosphere

For most shows, patrons may bring personal-size coolers and/or picnic baskets with any food and drink desired, and TV trays are allowed in the spacious aisles.

Some people go all out and bring caviar and champagne; others bring a six-pack and a bucket of chicken. Food and drink are available for purchase inside the amphitheatre from one of their full-service caterers, or from convenient concession stands.

The audience noise factor is problematic, as everyone is eating and drinking right at the stage.

The atmosphere of this park is truly addictive — great friendly Southern charm. When night falls, there are hundreds of twinkling candles flickering throughout the park and it’s beautiful.

Tim/aka Elvisguitarman

>*What happened to back-up singer Kristi Black?
Who is the other singer onstage besides Sharon Hendrix? She and Tom make eyes at each other alll of the time.
Plus — my girl and I really dig his dancing during* We’ve Got Tonight *and the shaking during *Delilah*. Mojo in motion!!!*

Tim, the third singer with Anthony and Sharon is Darrelle Holden and we think the looks that pass between her and Tom (and Sharon, too) might just be part of the act. As for Kristi Black, we couldn’t find out. If we do, we’ll post it. Can anyone help?

And watch our site because coming soon is a section on Tom’s back-up singers and musicians.

As for Tom’s mojo — anyone else have a thought? Lots of thoughts?
